WALKING UP FROM BATHEASTON:
If you are unable to walk up and need a lift to the gate, please get in touch, as there will be a shuttle service available for this purpose.
PROCESSION:
The procession will depart at 14:30 from the Walled Garden BA1 7NB, so we will gather at 14:00 to ensure prompt departure.

For those already on the hill, it will still be possible to experience the procession, by walking down to meet it along the way or joining as it reaches the ridge & walks in silence to the Merestone.

READING:
We are operating a 'walk-up' system for those who would like to read from the list of names.  We aim to ensure that all those, who wish to read are given the opportunity to do so.

LAVATORIAL FACILITIES:
Be prepared for a wild wee.
There will be limited facilities: a camping loo & modesty tent at the entrance to the cattle grid, but please consider those who will be emptying it and only use if absolutely necessary.
There will be occasional shuttle trips up & down - but only for absolute necessities.

PICNIC:
You are invited to bring a picnic + a rug.  We are obviously going with the adage of 'LEAVE NO TRACE' and would encourage everyone to avoid single use plastic.

WEATHER:
Please check the weather on the day and make sure to bring suitable layers for early evening, when the temperature will drop.  We are keeping an eye on the forecast - if it looks like torrential rain, we will have to postpone until the following weekend.  So please manifest good weather!

ACCESS:
It is possible to reach the gate at foot of the ridge, by car, to be dropped off  (there is no parking).  Although the walk from the gate is short and straightforward, please keep in mind that there is a steep element to it, for those with mobility issues.  Let us know, if you would require any assistance reaching the summit.
